Galen Leather card book

Image
I've had this in my stash for a few weeks now and haven't gotten around to doing anything with it, until now.  It's no bigger than a credit card and is ideally suited to fit in a wallet or possibly a card slot in a Filofax or organiser. Like many other Galen Leather notebooks it's made by Tomoe River and is very thin but also high quality. I'm yet to find a pen to go with it  but it's pretty unlikely I ever will! I will be keeping mine in my Filofax Malen Ochre Wallet as a back up notebook.

Tombow AirPress Pen Not everything on here is just about the mighty Filofax, I'm equally passionate about stationery and all things office. Christmas was a much less extravagant affair this year but I still had plenty of quality family time, however, gifts were also a lot less extravagant! My sister purchased a few items for me that are definitely stationery and office related, a book and a pen!  The book is titled "The Checklist Manifesto" by Atul Gawande and published by Profile Books. I'm not going to review the book on here just yet, partly because I need to read and secondly my blog isn't about books.  The pen is an AirPress made by Tombow who are based in Germany, supposedly it writes on wet paper and can be used upside down, something I need to test first. It writes very comfortably although the pen shell is quite chunky, the nib is black ink with 0.7 ball making it in the fine category. It performed well, I scribbled for a few ...

Filofax Chameleon in Personal Size

Image
I'm just in the process of having a good clear out after having moved house a few months ago,  finally I'm getting around to sorting through the far too numerous binders and planners that I have. I was lucky enough to buy a large box of Filofaxes late lest year, 10 in total, I chose a few that I wanted to keep and plan to sell the rest via eBay. Today I am featuring the Filofax Chameleon in personal size, a organiser considered to be of high quality and potentially somewhat rare. This binder is made from leather and came in a variety of colours, externally it has a leather clasp with a stud and a rippled effect finish. When sold as new it would have contained a diary, a selection of papers and dividers as you would expect. Whilst it's not my personal taste the whole planner has a quality feel and look about it and would appear to appeal to the upper end of the market. Internally it has 2 3 mm rings in stainless steel which has the Filofax logo etc...

Updated List Of Organisers

Well Christmas as usual has been a whirlwind and eaten up all my time but finally i'm back in the office getting on with things. First up is my list of organiser brands that you may have seen before, I've added about another 40 names I have found over the last few months. I have also added 2 new sections, branded Filofax and Funfax, I will be reviewing these in a blog post very soon. If any of you have any examples or photos you would like to share, please do so in the comments. I’ve spent the last few months trawling the internet searching for websites that are related to planners and organisers and here is what I have found. There so many more brands out there than I could have imagined, I thought that this market would be shrinking in modern times, not expanding! Wherever possible I have added a hyperlink to the exact page that contains the organisers, if none are currently listed I have linked to the main webpage or parent company. In some instances, I could...

I will be attending on the Wednesday and hope to do some live reviews and maybe a few videos as well, check back next week for more news. Sadly it doesn't appear that Filofax will be going but I believe that there will be other journal and organiser vendors there. Content below provided courtesy of the Manchester Stationery Show.
